Postpartum Massage

With any birth, the body has gone through a tremendous feat. It takes time to recover, and massage is a great way to help recovery be more quick and effective.

Postpartum massage is highly recomm
ended within the first 8 hours after birth and encouraged once a week/once a month, as soon as the new mom is up and about.

Postpartum massage accelerates the healing process through increased circulation, muscle strain release, increase in lymphatic circulation and reduces water retention. Postpartum massage also helps relieve fatigue from sleep deprivation, helps realign spine and hips for better posture, aids in better breast feeding by releasing upper back muscles, increases mother/infant bonding through release of endorphins, and helps reduce irritability, and depression.
